LuvMe Hair Headband Wig Review: The Luv is Deep
Hey y’all! I’m back with another review to share my love for LuvMe Hair’s headband wigs. I was first introduced to LuvMe Hair when I purchased my first headband wig last December as my birthday hair. I wanted an easy breezy style I could do on my own with minimal effort. I would always see the ads on Facebook for headband wigs by LuvMe Hair so I decided to give it a try. I fell in love with how easy it was to just throw on the wig and head out the door.
Speaking of throw, I accidentally threw out that same wig while Spring cleaning earlier this year and was livid. I don’t know how I did such a thing and I actually wept lol. It was my go-to wig! But I digress.
I’m all for carefree, easy hair with my on the go lifestyle - so a headband wig definitely comes in clutch for when I’m in a rush to get dressed and ready. All I need to do is slick down my baby hairs with edge control, position and secure the wig, and add a cute headband to go with my outfit for the day - and voilà!
I recently got a new headband wig from LuvMe Hair and this time around I went for the Deep Wave Affordable Headband Wig in 22 inches. After researching the internet for reviews and pictures, I was sold with the versatility of this wig and particular curl pattern. The 100% virgin hair wig comes in a deep wave pattern that can also be manipulated into soft, bouncy big hair with loose waves by combing/brushing it out. For the pictures you see here, I co-washed the wig and added leave-in conditioner, which gave the curls a more controlled look.
The “headband” part of the wig is a soft stretchy band that has a velcro closure at the nape of your neck, allowing you to tighten or loosen the wig to your head shape. There’s also three comb attachments - one on each side at the top of the wig and one at the bottom middle to ensure your wig is secured. It won’t move.
Every headband wig comes with 5 stretchy fashion headbands; plus as an added bonus you also get wig caps and additional accessories from LuvMe Hair like bobby pins, an edge styler, and a fancy branded hair clip. Everything you need is right in the box.
Styling tip: I add water to my hands and finger comb through the hair each morning. Making sure you detangle the hair every so often preserves the longevity of the hair.
During the first week, I wore the wig straight from the packaging; the hair was soft, defined and manageable. Once I co-washed there was very minimal shedding. There’s slight frizzing at the crown of the hair, that’s why I make sure to keep it moisturized with water or a leave-in conditioner -keep it light.
